METHOD
For my final design, i have chosen conditional design as inspiring to create the final work. The idea of my design which is inspired by the Conditional Design Workbook from Luna Maurer, Jonathan Puckey, Edo Paulus and Roel Wauters. The book using the rules gathered the visitor together to create different pieces. The result always unknown which i think is really interesting. Designer use limited rules and freedom to let people focus on the pieces to create beautiful works. I decided to design a puzzle game which means a kind of game. i would like to make several squares in same size and each of square has different shape or pattern on it. Because i have a huge interests on the shape and patterns so i would like to use it in my final design.
I have created several kind of patterns using limited rule such as limit colour, lines and shape. I decided using square to make a kind of puzzle that can let people play around. Moreover, i have also using numbers, narrative to experiment the pieces. The format for my final design i would like to make flashcards that people can create different shapes and patterns every time.

I have inspired on Jonathan Puckey's work 'Cities and Objects' at the Nieuwe Vide in Haarlem. He approached the city theme of the exhibition from the context of city growth and expansion, and related to the process of doodling with existing structures. I really like how he explores his idea through processes which is created successfully. The road tool which has inspired me lot more because i like how interesting it is. The pattern he create is creative and natural.

I have seen a website which is quite interesting on playing around the shapes. I like it how it works between the shape and the colour. This has inspired me on my final design as well. I want to create something about the shape and the colour. So i design more example and i choosing illustrator because is more specific software to design the works.

I create few design which has different pattern on it. It actually really hard when you only have limited freedom to design. i have using the few shape only and the limited colour to design the pattern. I would like to cut them into same size pieces and play around to create new image. I have design some of pattern which is still not perfect. It is test pieces but i found quite fun and enjoyed to create and development the work using conditional design methods.
Luna Maurer has influence me to create idea in a limited freedom and using the rule to create and experiment my idea. I like how she explore the process as the product. For her few workshop project, i have some idea which is using colour, shape and line to develop some pattern, moreover, the shape, colour and other material should be limited. I want to see how is it look and how is it work.

MORE EXPERIENCE
Im really interested at the geometry shape and the colour. I make some prototype to test how is it work. The main idea of my final design which has include the game idea with limited rules. So i want to make the game more simple, and easy to understand. The reason of choosing geometry for the main character of my game is because i like how the shape work together and different colour. After i did some example, I want to change the game to puzzle game which means that people can more easier to play together not only for individual but also can play with a team.
I create many of example to improve my puzzle game design. I use limited shapes and colour to make it more conditional. The rule of the game are really important. I make some of prototypes and play around with it. I didn't expect to have very complete perfect design but the process of design this game which is more fun. I cut them into the same size pieces which is 40 times 40, and play around with it to create new pattern or even people can make it as poster, poster cards etc.
MORE DESIGN AND MORE SURPRISED
For my final design, I have inspired a lot by Luna Maurer's work and as well as his partner. Her blog and the method about conditional design has make me create more works. For this project, the process is more important also i spent more time rather than focus on the result. I quite enjoyed when i go through these process because every step i design makes more surprised at the end. For the result of the design, I didn't go really deep of it because for my final design and method, these play card can be creative when audience use it. It can make different things in different person. Process is more important. I really experience a lot of this method.
